We managed the Facebook and Instagram accounts for the European division of one of Korea’s largest food producers.

The goals with Daesang Europe were to promote specific products to the European market, starting with The Netherlands and expanding to France and Belgium.

We created a brand new Instagram account. We focused on gorgeous photos, food quotes, and creating our own cooking videos. We connected with European influencers, including Jennie Wallden, one of the winners of MasterChef Sweden.

We converted the Chung Jung One Europe Facebook account from Dutch to English and focused on attracting younger clients, particularly Asian exchange students and young professionals unfamiliar with Korean cuisine. We used humor, food quotes, gorgeous food shots, and cooking videos to increase engagement.

With both accounts, we ran a daily Korean food competition in March 2020. Each day, users voted between two Korean dishes pitted against each other for popularity. We increased engagement while also educating consumers about lesser known Korean dishes.
